Major League Baseball is the highest level of play in American baseball and operates both the National League and American League, comprising of 29 teams from over the United States and 1 in Canada. The winners then meet in the American League and National league Championship series where they compete in a best-of-seven game match before the winners then go on to the World Series where the winner is crowned MLB champion. The Philadelphia Phillies are the current World Series champions after beating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in the final.
