There were no many other teams that disappointed as much as the New York Mets in 2009 but that didn’t stop the games from being incredibly exciting and fans heading out in droves to watch the action. Even with one of the largest payrolls in the entire league the team stumbled right out of the gate and struggled to pick up 70 wins by the end of the season.

Despite all of that disappointment, there is hope that things will be a lot better in 2010 for the Mets thanks to the major addition of free agent signing Jason Bay. While the team does not have the same depth when it comes to pitching as other teams in their division, there is hope that the offense will be able to carry the team as much as possible. If the Mets can stay healthy then they should bounce back in a big way from their 2009 campaign.
