The first game of the series between the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees lived up to all its hype. Former teammates Roy Halladay and AJ Burnett battled it out on Tuesday night and the Jays came out with the win. Halladay was his usual dominant self and the Yankees struggled to get anything going against him over all 9 innings. Burnett had a bout of his usual wild self and the Jays took advantage of it with a three run fourth inning. The crowd was electric as over 43,000 people showed up for the match up, with about half being Yankees fans even though the game was in Toronto. This game had everything including a playoff type atmosphere even though it is only early May. With the Blue Jays opening the series with a win, a lot hinges on the next two games especially the next game on Wednesday May 13^th.

Surprising rookie Scott Richmond will take the mound against crafty veteran Andy Pettite. The game could turn out a few ways. It could very well be a pitchers duel or it can be an all out slugfest with Alex Rodriguez returning to the lineup to face the AL's best hitting team in the Jays.
