NY Yankees v Boston Red Sox Live

With AJ Burnett and Josh Beckett pitching respectively it was assumed that the game would be a pitcher's duel but this was not the case. In the end the Red Sox came back from 6 runs down to come away with a stunning 16 to 11 victory. Jason Varitek led the way with a grand slam and 6 RBI's. Burnett and Beckett were both touched up for 8 runs apiece in their starts and the game was wild from start to finish.

The Red Sox are now on a 9 game winning streak while the Yankees continue to sputter with their high priced roster.
