Fans were treated to a dominant pitching performance by two of the best in the league on Saturday as the San Francisco Giants took on the St Louis Cardinals. The Giants scored the first run of the season against Chris Carpenter but Carpenter still turned in an excellent performance. However Giants starter Barry Zito out dueled him with one of his best starts in years. The Giants came back in the late innings to seal a 4-2 victory on the head to further build on a very exciting week for the organization.

Earlier in the week Giants start Randy Johnson turned in a quality performance to get him his 299th victory on the season. He will not pitch again until next Wednesday but you will definitely want to tune in to see him try to capture a part of history. Johnson could be the last modern era pitcher to put together 300 wins, so you will not want to miss it and you do not have to thanks to WatchLiveBaseball.com

The Giants look to keep up their improved play as of late, and not focus too much on Johnson's milestone as they wrap up their series with the Cardinals on Sunday May 31st. The pitching match up on Sunday will involve two young pitchers headed in opposite directions. The Cardinals will turn to Adam Wainwright who is having the best season of his career so far and the Giants will throw out Jonathan Sanchez who is really struggling to get used to MLB pitchers. The San Francisco Giants are using Randy Johnson's possible milestone to push them to play better baseball. They will continue to keep their impressive play up as the face the red hot St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday May 31st in a game you can watch by visiting WatchLiveBaseball.com
