The Tampa Bay Rays and the Chicago White Sox are going head to head no less than four times this weekend, with the Rays visiting the White Sox. They play on Thursday, April 7^th, starting at 2:10PM and then on Friday again at 8:10PM. They also play on Saturday, April 9^th at 4:10PM Eastern Time and then, they will once again go head to head on Sunday, April 10^th with the game starting at 2:10PM. The Chicago White Sox are quickly falling behind in the AL central while the Tampa Bay Rays need to continue to play their best baseball of the year if they hope to catch either the New York Yankees or the Boston Red Sox in the AL East. They came up with a big victory on Tuesday and paired with a loss for the Red Sox it is a big win for the team.

The Rays were losing late in the game but usually reliable Bobby Jenks blew the game in the 9^th and allowed the Rays to come storming back for a very important victory. Jenks was also shaky on Monday night but still managed to get the save in a 4-3 victory. Luck was not on his side this time around though as Carlos Pena drilled a sacrifice fly that lead the Rays to a 3-2 comeback win.

This is now Jenks third blown save of the season as he disappointed his team and especially starter Clayton Richard. Richard gave up just one run on four hits over 8 innings. Another rookie pitched a quality game for the Rays as Jeff Niemann allowed just two runs in 8 innings as Tampa Bay has now won four games in their last five.

Dioner Navarro and Jason Bartlett also played important roles in the game as they each had two hits and scored important runs. Gordon Beckham provided the offence for Chicago thanks to a 3-4 night with an RBI.

On Wednesday July 22^nd the two teams will close out their series as both need a series win. The Rays need to win most of their games for the rest of the season as both the Red Sox and Yankees are playing very well in the AL East. Unless Chicago can start to pump up their game and go on a big winning streak they are at risk of being left on the outside looking in.
