Tampa Bay Devil Rays v Kansas City Royals Live

The Tampa Bay Rays got out to a good start in the second half of the MLB season as they managed to claw their way back to an 8-7 win over the Kansas City Royals. It was a back and forth game all around that saw Carl Crawford and Pat Burrell seal the victory for the Rays in the late innings. Burrell has three RBI’s and a home run with Crawford came up with 3 hits and three runs scored. It was a tough start for James Shields who gave up seven runs in just 5 innings but the Rays offence saved the day.

The Royals were unable to start the second half of the season on a winning note even though they got a three run homerun from Mike Jacobs and three RBI’s from Mark Teahen. It was a tough loss for the Royals who are trying to prove that their good start to the season was not a fluke as they have been struggling over the last month.
